Åsa – a tasty bite of Sörmland

Welcome to the table at Åsa Folk High School! In our school dining hall, course participants, staff, and visiting lunch guests gather to enjoy delicious food and socialize.

Every institution has a focal point, a heart that beats a little stronger. At Åsa, it’s the school’s restaurant. With the beautiful Sörmland nature just outside the dining hall windows, good and homemade food has been enjoyed here since 1892.

Our lunch and dinner menus are based on traditional Swedish home cooking that is refined and complemented with dishes from all corners of the world.

In Åsa’s kitchen, we cook the food from scratch, prioritizing organic, Krav-labeled, and seasonal ingredients. We are driven by precision but also a large measure of curiosity and creativity. In the kitchen bubbles a desire to constantly learn more about different food cultures and try new dishes.

Our goal is to take you, as a dining guest, on an exciting journey among all the delicious flavors and scents of the world. We gladly welcome suggestions and requests for new, exciting dishes!
