Amanda Lind

Lind cancels appearance

The Green Party’s co-spokesperson was one of the first national politicians to accept the invitation to take part in Åsadalen. With only days to go before the democracy festival, she has now withdrawn.

Through her spokesperson’s secretary, Sofie Dahlqvist, Amanda Lind expressed her regret that she is no longer able to attend Åsadalen. No explanation has been given for the cancellation, but the party leader apologises for pulling out so close to the event.

Amanda Lind had been invited to join the panel discussion “The Culture War – who is aiming at whom, and why?” Whether her place on the panel can be filled in time remains uncertain. According to the Green Party’s parliamentary office, no suitable replacement has been found who is available on 24 May.

– It is of course very disappointing news at such short notice. There has been considerable interest in Amanda Lind’s participation, and her contribution to the cultural policy discussion would have been very exciting, says Åsa’s communications officer Henrik Wising, who continues:

– There is now little time to find a substitute. But the panel discussion should be able to go ahead as planned even without Amanda Lind.
