Study and live boarding school life

Maximize your study experience by staying at Åsa’s boarding school! Here, you will find a sense of community, learn to take responsibility, and can make friends for life.

The boarding school is an essential part of the school’s study environment. If you choose to live ”in the woods,” you become part of a community, is always close to the school, and can make new friends.

Here, you can read an article where course participants talk about boarding school life at Åsa.

How you live

The boarding school has 75 rooms, both single and double rooms, accommodating nearly 100 people in total.

The rooms are rented furnished with a bed, desk, bookshelf, and armchair. Feel free to decorate the room to make it more homely!

This is how some of our course participants live:

Boarding school houses

The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower and toilet. Each house has access to a laundry room.

Please note that the boarding school fee is charged from the very first week, even if you would be some days up to two weeks late for the course.

Eat well in our dining room

To finance a school restaurant at Åsa, we apply a kind of ”all-inclusive” principle. This means that if you live in the boarding school, you pay for accommodation and food even if you choose to cook your own meals.

Meals included in the monthly fee are breakfast, coffee break, lunch buffet with dessert, and dinner Monday to Friday. Food on weekends and holidays is not included.

Outside school hours

You have access to the school’s common areas, such as the library, most of the day. Between 12 AM and 6 AM, the main building is alarmed.

Åsa has a gym with exercise equipment and a sauna. Next to the school area, there is a lit track. The beautiful surroundings invite you to excursions and outdoor activities. Bicycles are available for rent, but feel free to bring your own.

Rights and obligations

When you rent from us, you have essentially the same rights and obligations as when you rent a residence elsewhere.

You will sign a contract, making you personally responsible for leaving the room in the same condition as when you moved in. The notice period is one month for both parties.
